Klingt für mich ja fast ein bisschen nach John Irving. Ich lasse mich auf jeden Fall überraschen.
Übrigens hat Pete Dexter auch die Romanvorlage zu "Deadwood" einer sehr, sehr guten TV-Serie geschrieben. Hoffentlich lässt das auf die Qualität seiner Bücher schließen.
